This piece offers an alternative view to mainstream media depictions about the borderlands. It is a reflection of the border that I experienced while traveling through the varied riparian ecosystems of the Rio Grande/Rio Bravo river valley that make up the area demarcated as the political boundary between the US and Mexico.
